Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a rash or a discolored white blotch on the skin of my penis. I have attached the pictures for your reference. Is there a cream or lotion that can take care of this?

Please give me your suggestions.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

There is nothing to worry about if there is no pain or irritation. It looks like a tinea infection, which can occur due to poor hygiene (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). If there is itching or irritation, I suggest applying a broad-spectrum antifungal cream with a combination of Clobetasol (0.05 % w/w), Gentamicin (0.1 % w/w), and Miconazole (2 % w/w). Apply the cream only on the skin every night for 14 days. In the meantime, I suggest you to maintain personal hygiene, wear clean undergarments, and avoid sexual activity. This is a fungal skin infection, and it can spread. Oral antifungal treatment may be required if the rash does not disappear within 14 days.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent.

I hope this helps you out.

Kindly follow up after 14 days.

Take care.
