Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have red rashes on the face for the past six months but its intensity changes frequently. Whenever I eat spicy or hot, go in the sun, its intensity increases otherwise redness decreases a bit.
It itches sometimes, the skin is rough there. A year back, I went to the dermatologist and she recommended HH Sone cream. After that medicine, it got cured but it appeared after two months.
Kindly help.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your problem.
But you did not mention for how long did you apply Mometasone Furoate cream. All your symptoms match with rosacea. However, it can also be steroid induced skin atrophy if you have used the cream for a longer time. Kindly get back to me with details. Take care.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at icliniq.
Thank you.
Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I applied HH Sone cream once a day for one week, Emolene cream I applied once a day for four weeks.
Kindly help.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I guess that it goes in favor of rosacea. Kindly avoid all that is hot and spicy especially liquids, emotional triggers and needless to say sun. Take any anti-redness cream in day time after the shower and one more time.
Metronidazole gel in the evening and Brimonidine gel at night. If you cannot find Brimonidine gel then apply Metronidazole gel twice. As for facewash, use foaming cleanser. Gentle washing, no rubbing. Only cool or tap water to wash face. No facials, steam or sauna, or aftershave on the face. I will love to hear from you after a month. Take care.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at icliniq.
Thank you.
