Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 20-years-old and I never had a healthy relationship with a guy. I was in love with a guy, but he left. And it has been six months, but I still cannot control my tears. I feel lonely and helpless. And when something happens at my home, it makes me more pathetic, and I keep crying for hours.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for taking help from a psychiatrist.

It would be best if you move on in your life. I suggest you stop stalking him on all social media, delete all his contacts, do not stay alone, try to be active and as much busy as you can, discard all stuff related to his memories.

I recommend you to follow the below guidelines for a healthy lifestyle and prevent yourself from getting depressed.

1) Exercise for 30 to 45 minutes daily, like at least going for a walk.

2) Do meditation for 20 minutes daily, sit in one place in a comfortable position, and try to concentrate on your normal breathing, do not stop or force yourself to control your thoughts.

3) Eat healthy home-cooked foods and avoid junk foods.

4) Spend quality time with friends and family daily.

5) Spend time on creative hobbies like reading good books, writing journals, painting, drawing, and learning new skills, language, or musical instruments.

6) Kindly take enough sleep of seven to eight hours daily.

7) Avoid tobacco, alcohol, or any substance abuse.

It would be best if you did not waste your life on someone who does not care for you. Instead, live life for your parents, who have cared for you since birth.

Be bold and confident.

Thank you.
