Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Please help me. I have unbelievably dry, flaking, painful, itchy, and now folding skin above my eyes and it is driving me crazy. It looks awful and is affecting my self-image. Every day I moisturize, multiple times, from coconut oil to rosehip, Vaseline, even hydrocortisone to no avail. I have tried removing gluten and yeast from my diet and it is still just as painful each morning. What is happening to me?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have noted your concern and I have viewed the image (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

You seem to have eyelid dermatitis, either seborrheic dermatitis or contact dermatitis. Though Cortisone should help, however, if it has not been much effective. You may use a slightly more potent topical steroid, like Fluticasone propionate 0.05 % cream or Betamethasone valerate 0.1 % cream, twice daily.

Regards.
