Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I know my partner for ten years. I am living with my partner for a year. We have not done sex. But now, we may have sex once a month. He does not have a feel like me. It makes me feel depressed. I tried to talk to him about this, and I wanted to make him understand. But it feels like he is not ready to get fixed. I do not know what to do at this point. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Planning to have sex on a regular basis with your partner is perfectly a regular thing, and there is nothing to feel ashamed. But sexual appetite between two peoples may vary. You may feel which is less can be a sufficient one for your partner. So the key is communication. Hammering him about sex every day will not help you. Make an effort to spend time with him by doing activities, and gradually you can approach about this. You can take a short trip and explore. Be sensitive if he is facing issues at work or with his family and if he is preoccupied with it. If nothing works, please see a counselor. Thank you.
