Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 25-year-old female with a weight of 119.05 lb and a height of five feet eight inches. I have sinusitis and my sinuses get flared up easily after getting triggered by dust, perfumes, allergies, and weather changes. I want to know whether living on a high floor trigger it. Could it become worse in the future?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have allergic rhinitis. It occurs due to hyper-response to certain materials such as dust. It presents with bouts of sneezing. Apart from dust, there are many other materials that cause allergic rhinitis. The affected individuals may or may not have itching in the eyes, nose, watery eyes, headache, and watery nasal discharge. Allergic symptoms have a high likelihood chance to reappear again after the treatment is complete. This occurs because taking treatment causes suppression of allergic response and treatment of the cause is not taken. As soon as you stop taking medicines and get exposed to allergic material, then you can have an allergy back with a bang. Living on a high floor does not cause any allergic episodes. These episodes depend on the surroundings and environment having allergens. Especially, living floors can cause allergic episodes. For example, if you are allergic to a flower and if they reach up to the second floor, you can have allergic episodes while living on the second floor when you get exposed to it.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
