Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am sharing a picture of my throat. I had my tonsils removed when I was a child. Recently, I had a sore throat, but I do not have any symptoms now. Does my throat look normal? It does not seem to be perfectly symmetrical to me. Kindly advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the pictures shared by you (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). They show the following: 1. A swollen uvula which is due to a recent throat infection or sometimes due to acid reflux disorders. 2. Granulations in the pharynx wall which are also due to a recent infection in the throat. 3. A small remnant of tonsil (which is not significant unless you suffer from repeated sore throat even after tonsil removal surgery). Most of these are self-resolving and may not require any treatment. I hope you found this helpful. Kindly revert in case of further questions. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
