Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

For the past two months, I have been suffering from a sore throat. After that, I took many antibiotics, and warm water with honey, and lemon daily three times. Now, there is a white furry coating on my tongue from the past many days, and having loose stool. What to do?

Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The loose stools may be due to the antibiotics you took for the sore throat. So you may stop that antibiotic and milk too as it causes loose stools. I suggest you take a multivitamin tablet for five days and a tablet of Metrogyl (antibiotic) twice daily for five days. I also suggest you apply Candid (antifungal ointment) oral thrush ointment on the white part of the tongue. It may have happened due to the medicines.

Do not worry you will be fine within a day or two after starting the dose.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them, and take medicines with their consent.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
