Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I fell on the volleyball ground a few days back, and now my foot is red and swollen, and it is hard to walk. Please help. Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. As per your description, you are probably having a sprain in your feet. It is nothing but mild inflammation of your ligaments and nothing to worry about. The probability of a fracture is improbable. You can go for rice therapy, including rest, ice compress, and elevation feet. You can also use simple analgesics like Ibuprofen to control the pain. If pain and swelling increase despite these conservative measures, please consult a specialist doctor. You may require an X-ray and sometimes MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) to rule out fracture and tendon or ligament injury. I hope this information will help. Thanks.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
