Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 22 years old male. On the weekend, I drank alcohol on an empty stomach, only cause my stomach was full. Then on Sunday again, I drank alcohol without eating, then I ate around 21:00. Tuesday, when I woke up, I had severe stomach pain. I thought I was hungry, but still, it is hitting me hard, requiring me to eat even if I do not feel like eating. It has been three days. So I was wondering if there might be something wrong with me to consider a doctor? Please guide me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The pain is due to muscle spasms and consuming alcohol for a long time. So there is dehydration caused by alcohol, and abdomen muscles are spasm. In such cases, sometimes IV (intravenous) fluids are required and injections to relieve the pain. It might also be due to gastritis. I would suggest you take tablet pantoprazole 40 mg once a day before meal for three days. Take more fluids. Are you able to pass stool normally? Which side of the abdomen do you have pain? Are you taking any medicine currently? Please let me know so I can guide you accordingly.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
