Basically, Paroxetine and other medicines like Sertraline which are used for this have wide uses and they are also used for depression, OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), etc. There is no issue regarding that. Also, the risk of suicidal tendencies is in patients with major depression and major psychiatric abnormalities, who on a baseline only have some suicidal tendencies. So, in those patients, a majority of the medicines paradoxically increases the risk of suicidal thoughts. I think that should not a problem for you.
