Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I ejaculate too early and I ejaculate about 2.5 ml. Is that normal? What should I do to raise sperm volume?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Within how much time do you ejaculate? Volume is fine.

Patient's Query

Hi dr,

Thank you for the reply.

It is for a minute. If I continue doing it, I feel like I will ejaculate in no time. So, I have to stop after three to five strokes.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It occurs due to excessive sensitivity and psychological issues. There is nothing to worry about it. There are various treatments available for it. Would you like to start with some medications now? The most efficacious medicines have to be taken continuously as they will take two to three weeks to act fully, while less efficacious medicines could be tried, which need to be taken one or two hours before intercourse.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Tell me about the first one.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

We usually give tablet Paroxetine 10 mg in the morning once a day and increase it to 20 mg after one week and it has got evidence of highest efficacy. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and take the medicines with their consent.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Does it have any side effects?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Every medicine has got its side effects. Common ones are drowsiness, gastric problem, constipation, restlessness, etc. Serious side effects are rare and also the dose is minimal. So, serious side effects are not expected to occur. I guess you are not on any other medicines at present or do not have any other diseases.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

But I read that antidepressant medications such as Paroxetine may increase suicidal thoughts and behaviors, especially within the first few months of treatment or when your dose is changed. This risk is higher in children, teenagers, and young adults, and we should pay attention to any unusual changes in our moods, behaviors, thoughts, or feelings.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Basically, Paroxetine and other medicines like Sertraline which are used for this have wide uses and they are also used for depression, OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), etc. There is no issue regarding that. Also, the risk of suicidal tendencies is in patients with major depression and major psychiatric abnormalities, who on a baseline only have some suicidal tendencies. So, in those patients, a majority of the medicines paradoxically increases the risk of suicidal thoughts. I think that should not a problem for you. Anyway, another option we suggest is Lidocaine-Prilocaine spray or cream to be applied to the penis five minutes before intercourse. This should also help you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
