Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have attached my USG report. Please review the report and suggest what to do as I am worried.

Answered by Dr. Sugreev Singh

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I have reviewed the attached reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). So yes, nothing is wrong, but a few changes need medical attention. So do not be concerned. Liver size is slightly enlarged, which can be corrected by a healthy diet and avoiding oily and fast food. Changes in the kidney are seen, so I recommend getting a kidney function test (KFT) once to determine the kidney's function. I would like to know if you have any problems passing the urine. Do you consume alcohol? Are you taking any medicine, and do you have any symptoms currently?

The Probable causes

Fatty liver.

Investigations to be done

LFT, KFT, CBC (complete blood count), and lipid profile.

Differential diagnosis

Kidney disease.

Probable diagnosis

Fatty liver grade 1.

Treatment plan

After Investigation.

Preventive measures

Drink filter water in a reasonable amount and avoid oily food.

Regarding follow up

Do the blood tests I prescribed for the kidney and send me the reports.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

I do not experience any problems while passing urine. I do not consume alcohol and do not take any medications. However, I occasionally need to take a tablet Montek LC. Itching has been bothering me for a few months between my legs and buttocks, and the doctor said it might be due to eczema. Please review the attached reports.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I have reviewed the attached reports (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Everything is normal except for the slightly higher liver enzymes. But nothing to worry about. They are not sufficiently raised to create any effect. However, eczema (skin inflammation) or liver enzymes can cause itching. Therefore maintain a balanced diet, avoid oily foods, and exercise regularly.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
