Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend, after which I took an I-pill that very day. I bled for a few days but have not had my menses yet. I have taken several home pregnancy tests, all of which were negative. What is wrong?

Answered by Dr. Richa Agarwal

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Menstrual irregularities, in your case, could be due to the hormonal imbalances caused by the I-pill. As you took the I-pill on time, there is almost no chance of pregnancy. So wait and watch for your menses, and get your home urine pregnancy test after seven days of your missed period date. I hope you found this useful. Feel free to ask for more information. Good luck. Regards.
