Patient's Query

My period got started before a week and ended after 3 days, what are the safe days to do sex without getting pregnant?

Answered by Dr. Reetika

Hi,

Welcome to iCliniq.com

I fully understand your concern and will surely help you.

It will be better if you can share the length of your cycle, like 28 days, 35 days etc. Although I will recommend not to plan things based upon safe period and fertility window, but just to be very safe you may have unprotected intercourse within 7 days of your last day of period and may be 3 days before onset of period. I am telling you this because studies have revealed that ladies do get pregnant outside their fertility window as there may be delayed or early ovulation sometimes which may result in conceiving. If you want to go for birth control then please choose between birth control pills and barrier contraception like condom. Please feel free to ask any questions or to share any additional information. God bless.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
