Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a small lesion at the beginning of the urethra. I cannot say how long it has been there, and it does not hurt. What is it? Is it possible it is just a normal mole?

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It appears to be balanitis due to scratching, rubbing, or friction. Apply 1 % Hydrocortisone gel at night for seven days. Apply Fucidin (Butylhydroxyanisole) cream in the daytime for seven days. Wash the area with a non-soap cleanser daily for one month. Avoid scratching and rubbing the lesion. Avoid friction. Keep the site clean and dry. Observe if you notice any change in the lesion, and get a biopsy done to rule out malignancy if a suspicious-looking difference is found.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

So from the look of it, I can exclude HPV or something like that?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thanks for the reply.

I am sexually active and had unprotected sex a month ago. But do not have a history of high-risk exposure in the past. However, none of the partners has had any symptoms.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

So, we can exclude genital warts. Usually, genital warts are multiple. So no need to worry. Stay relaxed. It will take a few weeks to fade. Avoid friction. Avoid the use of fragrance-based lotion, moisturizer, or gel use. Maintain proper hygiene.

I hope this information will help.

Thanks.
