Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

For the past three days, I am experiencing itchiness within (inside) the head of my penis. There is mild pain while touching the head and it becomes bad post masturbation and urination. No boils found under the skin but it seemed to be red in color.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your complaints are more in favor of urethritis or balanitis. This could be a consequence of multiple factors ranging from infections to even renal stones. Kindly mention if there is any pain when passing urine? Is there any pus discharge from the urethra? Is there any burning when passing urine? Also, mention have you been masturbating excessively off late? Do you have had any recent change of partner? Do your partner is also having similar complaints? Kindly upload appropriate images if there are any lesions.

Treatment plan

Take Syrup Citralka 10 ml in one glass of water twice daily.

Preventive measures

Take plenty of fluids. Avoid excess masturbation and have a monogamous relationship.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have no pain while urinating, and no pus. I have mild burning sensation post urination. I do not do excess masturbation. Yes, I had change in partner with unprotected sex multiple times, but the issue occurred post a week after having the last unprotected sex. No similar complains of my partner and no noticeable lesions. I have only itchiness inside the tip of the penis, and burning sensation. Both the symptoms increase post urination and masturbation. Slight pain feeling while touching the right side of the tip of the penis, and I feel relaxed while rubbing the tip of the penis from outside.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The symptoms are more in favor of urethritis. Unprotected sex is always a risk factor for such issues. Herpes, gonococcal, and chlamydia are all causative agents.

Treatment plan

Take tablet Azithromycin 1 gm single dose, Cefixime 400 mg single dose. Continue Citralka syrup.

Preventive measures

Avoid all sexual contacts for two weeks. Always use a condom.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
