Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have done my urinalysis and CBC, for which there are high levels of lymphocytes and monocytes. Why so?

Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query.

I went through your reports (the attachments removed to protect the patient's identity).

Based on the results of your urinalysis and CBC (complete blood count), you may have an infection or inflammation in your urinary tract. The high level of lymphocytes and monocytes, along with the presence of red blood cells (RBCs), can be indicative of a bacterial or viral infection. The low level of neutrophils is somewhat unusual, as neutrophils are typically the first line of defense against infection. However, your body may be responding differently due to the type of infection or underlying medical conditions you may have.

Depending on the specific findings, they may recommend further diagnostic tests, such as a urine culture or imaging studies, to help identify the cause of your symptoms and guide treatment. In the meantime, it is a good idea to drink plenty of water to help flush out any bacteria or irritants in your urinary tract and avoid holding urine for long periods to prevent further irritation or infection.

Hope it helps.

Thanks and regards.
