I have been experiencing horrible external and internal vaginal itching for the past week and OTC treatment is not working. I have been sexually active.

I have gone through your case and I understand your concern, such irritation usually occurs due to the wet area and it may cause infections.
For now you can use Candid-B (Clotrimazole and Beclomethasone) powder locally two to three times in a day and tablet Levocetirizine (antihistamine) twice daily for three days. Is there any smelly discharge?
