What are the causes of vaginal burning and redness?
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I experience vaginal burning and redness. What is the problem, and what should I do?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I read your query and can understand your concern.
- I suggest taking a vaginal swab and PAP (Papanicolaou) smear. In the meantime, I suggest taking tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for one week and tab Metronidazole 400 mg thrice daily for one week. However, please consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them and start taking the medications with their consent.
- If you feel better, you can stop taking antibiotics.
- Try to lose weight by exercising, yoga, or daily walking for good health.
- Avoid consuming alcohol and tobacco.
I hope this helps.
Thank you and take care.
