Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I saw a gynecologist because I had problems finding stool in the vagina. He did a pelvic exam by placing the finger in the vagina and also checked the area from the vagina to the rectum and said there was no evidence of a fistula. He also said that given that I had a clear pelvic CT scan done six months ago, he did not find anything. He said that the stool must have resulted from not cleaning properly, and I admit that I was not aware until recently that any time after a bowel movement, you have to wash your vagina. Do you have any tips for washing the vaginal area after a bowel movement?
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com
I have read your query and understand your concern.
After passing stool, clean the whole area properly with tissue and water. Keep the genital area clean and dry, and change undergarments twice daily. Wash your genital with soft cleansers like V wash (intimate hygiene wash). Take a high-fiber diet, and add more green leafy vegetables and fruits to your diet.
I hope this information helps you.
Regards.
