Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 22 years old female. Currently, I am taking iron tablets along with vitamin C. It helps to provide relief from headaches. I want to know whether I can take vitamin K and D along with it.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. You can take vitamin B12 tablets along with vitamin C. It is completely safe. At this age, you do not require vitamin K and D as these are enough in your body. When it is taken in high quantity, it can become toxic to you. You need to include more other vitamins in your diet from external sources. I suggest some food items to get other vitamins. Vitamin A is present in green leafy vegetables and beans. Vitamin D is present in milk, and sun-basking. You can take sunlight from the morning and it is best for the skin. You can have exposure for 30 to 45 minutes every day. Vitamin C is abundant in citrus fruits like lemon, orange, grapes, and gooseberries. You can take Vitamin B 12 from daily products. It is also present in meat, chicken, and eggs. You can take iron from jaggery, apple and green vegetables.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
