Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I missed my periods this month, and since then, I have been experiencing stomach aches on my belly button and also a gassy stomach. I did not have coitus. I had my last period on the last week of last month, and since then, I did not have my period. A doctor gave me a tonic and some medicines to consume for three days. I am just worried about what exactly is happening to me.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

A missed period can be due to various reasons, such as stress, weight changes, hormonal imbalances, or pregnancy. However, the symptoms you describe, stomach ache near the belly button and a gassy stomach, could also be due to other factors, such as digestive issues, menstruation-related cramping, or even a possible infection. Therefore, it is important to see a doctor for a thorough examination and any necessary tests to determine the cause of your symptoms. This could include a pregnancy test, blood work, or a pelvic exam, depending on what the doctor suspects may be causing your symptoms. In the meantime, you can try to manage your symptoms by eating a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and avoiding foods that can cause gas or bloating. In addition, over-the-counter pain relief medication, such as Ibuprofen, is suggested as it may also help relieve discomfort.

Hope this has answered your query.

Regards.
