Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have mild acne and severe acne scars. My current height is 5 feet 4 inches, and I weigh 110 lbs. I am a 19-years-old, and I have combination skin. Is there anything specific I can do to help with my scarring besides regular exfoliation once a week and eating healthy?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

I have seen your query and examined your image (the attachments are removed to protect the patient's identity).

It seems you have ice-pick scars and rolling types of acne scars with lots of inflammation.

There are various techniques to treat acne scars:

Subcision and derma roller, a technique of uplifting the scars by cutting the underlying fibrous band with the help of hypodermic needles. Then use dermaroller to activate underlying collagen.

CO2 (carbon dioxide) pixel laser may help you.

I suggest Opexa gel (Dimethicone and Ascorbyl testraisopalmitate gel) or contractubex gel (Extractum cepae, Heparin, and Allantoin) twice daily.

Methods of application,

  • Clean the affected area with water and dry it.
  • Gently apply a thin layer of Opexa Gel or contrctubex gel.
  • Let the gel dry for at least four to five minutes.
  • Use continuously for a minimum duration of eight weeks.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
