Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 23-year-old female with acne for the past 3.5 years. It comes and goes. I have a habit of popping my acne, so I have many craters on my face. Along with big pus-filled pimples, I also get small white bumps on my face. When I squeeze them between my nails, white stuff comes out, which is sometimes solid. In an effort to solve my acne problem, I wash my face with harsh soaps very frequently. This causes my skin to become dry. I have had success with solving my acne problem by washing my face with hard soaps once. But now, it does not seem to be helping. My skin texture feels extremely weird. It is dry and dull. Not very dry, but moderately dry. And just weird in general. Please help. Also, I have very poor eating habits. Sometimes I do not eat for a whole day. I do not drink water either. Even when I eat, it is always junk.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. You seem to have grade 2 and will require oral antibiotics too. Take Tablet Azithromycin 500 mg for three consecutive days per week like every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (any three consecutive days). Use Deriva-BPO (Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide) gel apply on acne once at night in a tiny amount without rubbing it, Salicylic acid face wash. Follow-up after one month. Avoid too many sweets, whole cream milk, and chocolates. Also, please do not pick the lesions. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
