Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have tried different sorts of natural products for my oily skin and I have bad acne on one side of my cheek with red bumps and scars. I had been using tea tree for about four months. Later I discontinued and started using apple cider vinegar for two weeks. What is the best solution for my problem? I really do not want to use any harmful products, which is why I try to stay with the more natural remedies. I desperately need clear skin. Please do let me know what is best.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for the query.

Pimples are somewhat hormonal due to oily skin.

1. Do not use hair oil or any sticky cream on your face.

2. Avoid oily foods, chocolate, and milk products.

3. Avoid dust and use sunscreen (above 30 SPF).

4. If you use any cream, don’t rub it on your face.

5. Don't use any steroid creams.

6. Continue treatment for at least one month.

7. Facewash or soap is not very useful.

8. Don't touch acne and avoid pressing it.

I suggest Clindamycin gel. This is more preventive and curative. You can use it all over the face in the morning. Adapalene gel can be used over acne at night. I also suggest a Doxycycline tablet of 100 mg once a day.

I hope this has helped you.

Please follow up if you have more doubts.

Thank you.
