Hello doctor,
Two years back, I was diagnosed with antral gastritis after taking painkillers for my tooth pain. I lost 28.66 Ibs weight (from 163.14 to 134.48 Ibs) and felt more anemic because I followed a diet that avoided milk, non-vegetarian dishes, chilies, citrus fruits, etc. I also took some home remedies for gastritis. I fully recovered within four months. I took a complete blood test which showed high bilirubin (1.4 mg/dL) and low uric acid (0.4 mg/dL). The other results were normal. But after some time my body gained weight and I weighed 67 kg.
After two years, I took painkillers and antibiotics for my root canal treatment. After that again I lost weight to 134.48 Ibs. Even now, I have elevated bilirubin (1.2 to 1.4 mg/dL) and low uric acid (0.1-0.8 mg/dL). ECG, ultrasound abdomen, and MRI brain showed no other symptoms. My stool is pale yellow and appears clay-like. I have no other complaints and I have not gained my weight back. Before all these issues happened, I had a complete health checkup in which everything was normal. Kindly clarify the following doubts. Why am I not gaining my weight back? Why are the bilirubin and uric acid counts abnormal?

I understand your concern.
I have gone through your reports and it is suggestive of gastritis only. Due to that, your food is not getting digested properly. When food is not digested it leads to an elevation in bilirubin.
I would suggest you take syrup Hepamerz (L Ornithine - L Aspartate syrup), 5 ml once a day after a meal (afternoon) for 30 days and let me know after 30 days. Consult your specialist doctor, talk with them, and take medications with their consent.
You will be able to gain weight and your bilirubin level will decrease.

I have no heartburn and I can eat everything except spicy foods.
Is the thickening of mucosa in CT normal? Are the results CT and endoscopy the same? Should I repeat the endoscopy?

Thickening is due to gastritis and since you do not have symptoms there is no need to repeat endoscopy and CT. Just control your diet. Eat foods that are less in spices and avoid smoked foods. Stress is also a cause of gastritis, so reduce stress through meditation as well. Take the syrup I suggested and let me know after 30 days
