Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
My 29-year-old husband is suffering from lower back pain during climbing steps, traveling, and lifting weights. We did an MRI, and the doctor suggested medication and advised surgery. Kindly review his reports and give your opinion.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
The back pain seems to be due to a lumbar disc disease, which probably involves a prolapsed intervertebral disc (attachments removed to protect the patient’s identity). Surgery is always given as an option because lumbar disc problems usually progress with age.
1) How much can he walk on flat ground without pain?
2) Can you please send the printed MRI report to get a better picture of his illness?
3) Is there any history of fall?
Revert with the answers.
Regards.
Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Thank you for responding promptly.
He has no history of fall but takes a lot of mental stress, even for silly things, and gets tensed very soon. He can walk up to less than half an hour without any pain. I have attached all the reports that I have.
Please advise the needful. And please suggest to us how soon surgery should be done and about the recovery period.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I do not see a lumbar spine report.
