Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 30-year-old female who underwent gastric bypass surgery 10 weeks ago. I have been experiencing various symptoms for the past two weeks, including stomach pain, excessive gas, and a sharp stabbing pain on the right side of my abdomen, which is almost in line with my belly button. Additionally, I have noticed a loss of appetite and a general feeling of discomfort in my stomach.
Please suggest.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thank you for reaching out, and I completely understand your concerns.
The symptoms you are experiencing after your gastric bypass surgery are quite common, and they can be effectively managed with antacid medications. There is no need to worry. To ease your symptoms, I suggest following a liquid diet consisting of soups and juices.
It is also important to incorporate more green vegetables and fruits into your diet, as this will help maintain your digestive system. Staying hydrated is essential, so make sure to drink enough water throughout the day.
I suggest taking tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg once before breakfast (in the morning) and tablet Drotaverine 80 mg once after a meal (whenever you experience pain or abdominal contractions).
Please take these medications for a period of five days. Rest assured, everything will be fine.
Continue taking your other prescribed medications as instructed.

This information will help me provide further assistance tailored to your specific needs.
I hope it helps.

Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I wanted to let you know that I have been experiencing daily episodes of diarrhea for the past ten weeks since my surgery. It is important to note that I do not consume heavy meals.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Thank you for your prompt response.
I suggest that you continue taking the prescribed medications as advised. In most cases, these medications will help alleviate your symptoms. However, if your symptoms persist, I suggest adding another medication to your regimen.
Please consider taking a tablet containing Ofloxacin and Ornidazole after a meal twice a day for a duration of five days.
If you have any additional concerns or questions, please feel free to let me know.
I hope it helps.
Thank you.
