Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have gum bleeding. Please suggest some medication or toothpaste.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Gum bleeding is caused due to inflamed gums due to deposits accumulated in the teeth. Get a professional cleaning of teeth (scaling) done by the dentist and then follow proper brushing method (sulcular bass method). You can ask your dentist about it or check online. Brushing method is more important than the toothpaste you use. Use any toothpaste containing fluoride. And, if sensitivity is there, you can use Sensodyne till you have sensitivity. This was for general. If you have any medical history and regarding details of your gum bleeding like duration, teeth involved, let me know. I can accordingly make the diagnosis.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

When I spit anytime some blood is coming from the gum. I changed the toothpaste recently. I had a Glister toothpaste and vigorously brushed one day as well. Due to that, the past four days I am feeling this type of bleeding. How to stop that? Only that is near my wisdom tooth gum. Suggest something to stop this gum bleeding.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

So, based on the history, I will recommend you doing lukewarm water plus salt water gargling as many times as possible. This will heal your inflamed gums (if it is because of your vigorous brushing). Brush gently. If possible, you can send me the clinical image of the affected area so that I can rule out the wisdom tooth eruption problem and your adjacent teeth gums condition too. But for now, you can start that gargling. It will heal the gum inflammation and give relief.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
