Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 40 years old and my HbA1c has gone to 6.2 and I have high cholesterol and lipids. I am attaching my report. The HbA1c was 6.0 when checked six months back. I have undergone a full body checkup. Please suggest whether I need to take any medicines or preventive steps. I also take morning walks for half an hour. My father and mother are diabetic and have high blood pressure. I feel worn out by the end of the day and at times have craving for sweets. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

There are no serious health problems. It appears to be a prediabetes condition. Life style changes are essential.

  1. Walk at least 3 miles daily.
  2. Eat more boiled vegetables and fruits.
  3. Avoid junk foods, fruit juices, carbonated beverages, icecreams, cool drinks, and cookies.
  4. Avoid processed foods that contain more salt as these are unhealthy.
  5. Try to avoid salt, sugar, and food preservatives.
  6. Grandma foods are the best.
  7. Avoid sitting for long hours.
  8. Better walk every two hours for ten minutes preferably in green surroundings if possible.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
