Hi doctor,
I am experiencing some light discomfort at the tip of the penis when I do not pass urine for six to eight hours or overnight. I did not notice anything abnormal about the urine, there was no color change, discharge, or pain when ejaculating. Wondering what it could be? It has been a few weeks it did not increase or decreased. However, I am urinating more often. Symptoms appeared after I overheld urine, especially when I needed to use the restroom, and also the next day when I ate something extremely spicy. I do not know if it is related, but the next day started to feel this discomfort and felt more like burning, but I drank a lot of tea and cranberry, and it went away, but I feel that not 100 percent.

Pain at the tip of the penis has many causes it can be a simple allergic reaction due to products used in showers like soaps. It also can be infection or inflammation of the urethra due to sexual contact what needs to be done is urine analysis and then, if necessary then, urine culture.You can start a course of antibiotic tablet Doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for seven days.
