Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had sex with my fiance ten days back and my periods ended five days before that. Our condom burst and I have taken I-pill within half an hour but before one hour of doing sex, I took my fever medicine and stomach infection medicine which I was taking from two days back. So, is there any risk for pregnancy? Will I get my periods on time?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As you have taken an emergency pill within 72 hours of intercourse there is no chance of pregnancy. Even if you have taken medication for fever or stomach infection it will not affect your I-pill. So relax and do not worry. However, if you have a doubt then get back to me. Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

So, I will get my periods on my date only?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, just around your dates. They may be a bit early or delayed periods because of the hormonal changes. There is nothing to worry about. However, if you have a doubt then get back to me. Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am having slight pain in my stomach and lower abdomen sometimes. Is there any risk?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

No, there is nothing to worry about. It could be because of stretching or hormonal changes. So relax and do not worry. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
