Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had sex four days back with my husband and the condom leaked. I took I-pill on the same day at night but yesterday the same thing happened again. During intercourse, condom leaked. Can I take I-pill again for this?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You can take. But there is no guarantee because there is no study that two tablets in one cycle are how much effective. And secondly, if your age is 42 years then there is a decreased chance of pregnancy. So take tablet and wait for menses. Or consult a nearby gynecologist. You can put Copper-T as emergency contraception now. In two days, it will be effective. Otherwise take tablets and wait for your menses. Drink more water. And take precautions properly. Change the brand of condom you are using now. One plus thing is nowadays many condoms comes with spermicidal liquid so even if it breaks, the chance of pregnancy is less.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
