Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have a problem with peeing. Feels like peeing every two minutes. However, it comes in a few drops. I have been using urinary tract infection tablets and sugar tablets, but they are not working today. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Cystitis has many causes, like infections, interstitial cystitis, and inflammatory bladder conditions like schistosomiasis, prostatitis, or even urinary stones. For diagnosis, what is required is urine analysis, semen culture, and ultrasound KUB (kidney, ureter, and bladder). Suppose the culture is negative and the ultrasound is normal. In that case, a course of treating prostatitis with a tablet of Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for two weeks and a tablet of Tamsulocine 0.4 mg at night for one month is suggested. Flexible cystoscopy and bladder biopsy may sometimes be required, not responding to treatment. Treatment will be tailored accordingly.

Kindly consult a specialist, talk with them and take the medications with their consent.

I hope you find it helpful.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
