Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My husband is 31 years old and we got married two years back. He has a peculiar problem. He takes about 30 to 35 minutes to ejaculate during sex which causes me pain sometimes and makes me very tired. Whereas he ejaculates within 10 to 12 minutes during masturbation by himself, but if I masturbate him he takes 30 to 35 minutes. He does not have any other medical complications. He smokes regularly. But he does not drink alcohol. We are happy about sex but I am not conceived yet. All test reports were normal. What should we do now?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Delayed ejaculation (DE) occurs when a man needs more than 30 minutes of sexual stimulation to reach orgasm and ejaculate. DE has multiple causes, including anxiety, depression, neuropathy, and reactions to medications. Please let us know whether you have any of these conditions. No drug has been specifically approved for DE, but medications used for conditions such as Parkinson’s disease have been shown to help. Counseling, psychotherapy, and sex therapy can also help you.

Take care.
