Hello doctor,
I am suffering from a delayed period for the past few months. I did not have sex. So, besides pregnancy, what are the other causes of delayed periods?

I went through your query and understood your concern.
There are many reasons for amenorrhea (delayed periods) but among them, PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) is very common these days, especially in the young population. Delayed periods, scanty menses, acne, and excessive weight gain are commonly seen in PCOS. Also, thyroid abnormality could be the reason. So, I suggest you do an ultrasound pelvis, thyroid profile, and complete blood count for a better diagnosis.
