Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My health issues are borderline total cholesterol and triglyceride. I have been suffering from hyperlipidemia for the past five years and I have attached all the reports for your reference. I have reduced down weight from 165 pounds to 147 pounds. With diet control, I have reduced my triglycerides a little bit. Triglycerides were drastically increased by Isotroin medicine of skin. So, I stopped it. Earlier, I was under antidepression medicine of Cipralex - Esclitopram 5 mg. My liver function tests are still normal. My x-ray and sonography also shows that I have not developed fatty liver. How to reduce cholesterol by diet control as other health parameters are normal?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com

We are here to help you. This level of rise in triglycerides does not require treatment with any medicines (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). You need to start more of a cardio workout and avoid fat in diet. Replace all kitchen cooking utensils with non-stick. No oil is good for health be it olive or mustard. Say strict no to fried foods and consume less potato, rice, sugar and sweets. Now, the medicines to reduce your cholesterol is in your kitchen itself. Take fenugreek, grind it and then take three teaspoons full in the night time with water and chew raw garlic once a day. These two kitchen products would help you greatly. I hope this helps. Thank you.
