Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Recently I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic. Now, I am suffering from erectile dysfunction and weakness. My testosterone level is 280 ng/dL. Do I need to check other hormones?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Did you check this hormone early morning? Preferably, sample should be given before 9 AM to an endocrinology reputed laboratory. Lot of errors can happen and always test for total testosterone. Now you can control your diabetes and start some exercises. Preferably, morning or evening walking is enough for 30 to 45 minutes. Control alcohol and stop smoking. Repeat total testosterone after one month. If it is less than 250 ng/dL, then you can consult an andrologist or urologist.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Yes, I had the test in the early morning and my last report was also low. I am a non-smoker and drinker. If I need to check further which laboratory test should I do and I need to fix the problem.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

In that case you should start exercising, because it can increase your testosterone. Your testosterone is not very low. Your testosterone is low and within the normal range. You do not need testosterone supplements. I suggest you to provide your complete medical details with age, weight and height or else consult an andrologist in person for evaluation.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
