Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 46 years old. My weight is 75 kg and my height is 6 feet. I have no diabetes or BP, but have asthma and it is under control. I am facing problems in getting erections. It is getting worse with time. Please suggest some treatment for this. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • You have given very little information regarding your query.
  • You have not given information regarding your education, marital status, number of children and profession. Actually all these things are important in the management in erectile dysfunction.
  • Please answer my following questions, so that I can help you better.
  1. What is frequency of problem in erection?
  2. What kind of improvement you have after using Viagra (Sildenafil)? How much dose you have taken?
  3. Is there early morning erection?
  4. Is there any history of psychiatric illness like anxiety and depression?
  • There are lot of causes for erectile dysfunction and most of the time they are psychogenic in origin.
  • You have given little information regarding your problem. So please specify in detail.
  • However for short time you can take tablet Tadalafil 10 mg once in a week or alternate day which is safer than Viagra.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Sorry for lapses in information. I am an engineering graduate. I took voluntary retirement and presently doing my own real estate business. I am married with two children. Profession wise, it is almost a routine and there is no tension. No financial and not much family problems. My erectile dysfunction problem is there during every sexual activity. I doubt the problem is getting worse by time. The problem started some five years ago. I submit that I got used to online porn too much at that time unknowingly. I thought that it was the cause of my problem and I stopped that practice with a lot of effort. Even then, I did not get any relief from my problem. I used to take Viagra 50 mg. Result is good but the hardness lasts only for 30 minutes maximum. I could not bear the side effects like headache and face swelling. I get full early morning erections for at least two to three times a week. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thanks for providing enough information.

  • Watching porn never affects our sexuality. So, do not worry over it.
  • It seems your cause is more of psychogenic rather than physical as you have enough early morning erection.
  • Sometimes erectile dysfunction coupled with decreased libido or decrease sexual desire.
  • These problems have lots of factor like your relationship with spouse, any substance taking like alcohol use, smoking or tobacco use.
  • So, I would like to suggest you to go with simple yoga like pranayama and some relaxation techniques.
  • Secondly you can use healthy dietary supplements and also add tablet Tetrafol plus (combination of Levomefolate calcium, Pyridoxal 5-phosphate and Mecobalamin) once daily and tablet Tadalafil (Megalis) 10 mg once in a week or alternate day for erection.
  • Tadalafil is advance form of Viagra and does not cause side effects like headache and flushing of face.
