Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been having a fever for the last two days. If I take Crocin, it comes down only for two hours. And along with that, I have a cough, continuous sneezing, and irritation in my nose. Kindly suggest medicines.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query

I understand your concern. Your symptoms are suggestive of an upper respiratory tract infection. It can be in form of allergic rhinitis or sinusitis. I suggest you investigate with CBC (complete blood count) report to guide you further. You can be prescribed decongestants like Phenylephrine or Levocetirizine for symptomatic relief.

  1. Avoid excess spicy food intake.
  2. Steam inhalation three times a day with warm water.
  3. Salt-added lukewarm water gargle also can be beneficial.
  4. Drink lots of water.
  5. You can take Paracetamol for getting relief from the fever.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
