Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 27 years old and have an oily, prone-to-flaking scalp that also encourages scalp acne. Additionally, I have been dealing with hair loss and receding hairlines in recent years. I recently discovered argan hair oil, but I am not sure if it would ease anything. Please let me know what shampoos, oils, food, or vitamins I may use on a regular basis to maintain good hair and lessen the problem mentioned above. I have also begun using vitamins for my skin, hair, and nails. Could you kindly recommend a nice shampoo, conditioner, or hair oil?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Do not apply oil over the scalp since you have a flaky scalp. Use Sebamed anti-dandruff shampoo twice a week. If you need to wash hair more frequently, then use a good branded professional shampoo along with its conditioner. Take tablet Adgain (biotin) or capsule Hair fix (hair vitamins) once daily for two months. It is a hair supplement that contains biotin. Once the flaky scalp subsides after a month you can apply Minokem- F (Minoxidil and Finasteride) solution 1 mL at bedtime on the scalp. It will help to reduce hair fall. You should have a good protein intake. Consume at least two egg whites per day or any other form of protein.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
