Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from pain and loose motions since morning but at present, the frequency of loose motion has increased. Please advise us medicines for instant relief.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are most likely suffering from a case of gastroenteritis. Probable cause of loose motion may be food poisoning. You need to take ORS (oral rehydration salt) saline to stay hydrated and to keep your electrolytes in check. Please take it as per the instruction on the sachet. Also, since the frequency of loose motion is increasing, I suggest you take tablet Loperamide just once which will stop the motion almost right away but this is a prescription medication so you need to talk to your pharmacist whether or not you can take it. Any existing heart disease or irregular pulse is a total contraindication for taking this drug. You may also need prescription antibiotics if symptoms do not improve. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and with their consent take the above medicines. Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
