Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
Recently, I found a bump in the area in between my scrotum and anus. The dermatologist removed it and sent it to the lab. Lab said it was a viral verruca. The doctor said this most likely is not an STD (sexually transmitted disease) and more of a normal wart in a weird location. Should I consider this not as an STD and move on with my life?
Hi,
I am glad you chose icliniq for your medical-related queries.
I understand your concern and will try to help you with it.
I have gone through your case in detail. In my opinion, wart in this area is likely to be transmitted through sexual contact. So, it is part of STD (sexually transmitted disease). You need to undergo complete workup of STD and then move ahead. This is not a location of a common wart. Take care.

Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
Thank you for the reply.
I thought a STD would be called a condyloma.
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
I read and understand your concern.
Well, large verrucae are called condyloma. Wart is a common name. In the anogenital area, any wart or verrucae or condyloma raises suspicion of STD. My stress is that do not take it lightly to be a common wart. Undergo complete tests for STD.
Looking forward to your response in order to help you.
Thank you.
