Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I experienced hair loss. Now my scalp gets hot, and it makes me hot. Sometimes I have severe itching and break out. Every time I go to sleep, I sweat a lot. Please help.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I will explain everything about hair loss in points.

1. 100 to 150 hair fall every day is very normal. So should consider hair fall if the number of hair fall is more than this.

2. Generalized hair falls in females are mostly due to stress, poor sleep, poor nutrition and excessive blood loss due to menstruation.

3. Stress alopecia is also common in which female keeps their hair very tight in a certain manner, creating tension in the root and causing hair fall.

4. Straightening and other procedures also cause weakness in roots.

5. Other conditions like fever, typhoid, malaria, and thyroid cause hair fall.

Treatment

1. Sleep for seven to eight hours. Eat healthy food with green vegetables and fruits.

2. Take Iron and Follihair (multivitamins) tablets for three months.

3. Check your blood hemoglobin to see iron levels. If the iron level is low, folic acid supplements should start.

4. Check thyroid and diabetes to rule out other causes.

5. Take a tablet of Levocetirizine 10 milligrams twice a day for two weeks for itching.

Consult with a doctor and take the medicine with their consent.

Thank you.
