Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I have hemorrhoid at the anus along with pain in inner thigh muscles.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I guess you do not have pain at anus while passing stools. Is there anything which comes out of anus during straining? It is better to get it confirmed by a local doctor by examination regarding the diagnosis.
Hemorrhoids as such are not life-threatening. The problems associated are bleeding and sometimes pain. Permanent treatment is surgical removal. However, it can be well controlled. Firstly, you should avoid straining at any cost while passing stools. Straining will increase them and also lead to bleeding. So it should be avoided.
Next thing is your stool should be soft so as reduce the damage, bleeding and need for straining. For that, you should eat high fiber diets like fruits apple, banana, oranges, and green leafy vegetables like spinach, raw cucumber. Avoid smoking, refined food, fatty and oily food. You should have plenty of fluids and regular exercises. Also, you should have Isabgol powder two tablespoons bedtime to maintain stool soft. Alternatively, you may have a syrup like lactulose 15 to 30 ml bedtime to maintain your stool soft. If there is a pain, then you can apply 2 % Lidocaine gel before each stool so as relieve pain.
For more information consult an internal medicine physician.
