Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

1. I have periods of a hypomanic switch into periods of depression fast, but depression does not go to the point of suicidal thoughts.

2. Insomnia, extreme active periods and periods of no motivation to do anything.

3. Conflicting opinions, but also strong opinions.

4. Two opposite sides, a bright, playful and innocent side, and a violent, dark, crazy, psycho side, either can switch in an instant. Both of these sides are myself, and I often have trouble finding out which personality is the real me. One day I can feel like one, and the next day, I will feel like the other side, like a completely different person.

5. These two sides are entirely opposites meaning my values, behavior, hobbies, feelings towards others, etc. all are getting changed.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Most people with psychiatric conditions like psychosis, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, etc. do not realize they are ill. That is called a lack of insight. The fact that you are concerned about yourself enough to ask for help here means that you have an idea. You are at that growing up the stage when you are figuring out your personality, and the hormonal surges can also make you go through an emotional rollercoaster so you might be experiencing normal physiological and psychological changes with your age but overthinking it.

I would suggest listening to music, running, doing meditation, and other things to divert your mind for a month and see how you feel. If things do not change, let me know. I hope this helps.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
