Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

What antibiotic would you recommend after using Penicillin and Lincomycin for too long? I would like to know which drug would be the best to use. I am anxious about not knowing whether I will miss my work tomorrow because my tooth is so infected that I cannot work.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I suggest you take the tablet Oflox OZ (Ofloxacin) with tablet Ibuprofen to reduce any pain in the infected tooth. After that, please consult a dentist, discuss it with them and take the medicines with their consent. It will not cost you that much. Also, rinse your mouth with salt and lukewarm water twice every day.

I wish you good health and happiness. Keep me updated with the improvements.

The Probable causes

Food lodgement, improper brushing routine.

Investigations to be done

IOPAR (intraoral periapical radiograph) of the tooth.

Differential diagnosis

Periapical abscess.

Probable diagnosis

Infected tooth.

Treatment plan

Root canal treatment.

Preventive measures

Do not eat sticky food. Brush twice a day.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
