Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a general health query. Please examine my reports and suggest dietary changes and supplements like iron or vitamin D if required.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the reports (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). I suggest the patient continues using tablet Fibrator (Atorvastatin and Fenofibrate) as the lipid levels will rise once he stops using the medicines. I also suggest he take vitamin D supplements once a week for eight weeks and repeat the test with TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone) and FT4 (free thyroxine test).

Kindly revert in case of further queries.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

The query and report are of my 39-year-old husband. There was confusion as I had raised two different queries, one for my husband and another for my father. Please check the reports for my husband's iron levels, RBC, thyroid levels, vitamin D levels, and liver profile. Also, his triglyceride and LDL values are high, and currently, he is not on any medication.

Kindly guide.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have examined his reports (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). The levels of TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), cholesterol, and LDL (low-density are high. Also, vitamin D is low. What is his weight? How is his blood pressure? I suggest he follow the below treatment:

  • Change the diet to low fat and low calorie, with an intake of 1500 calories per day.
  • Physical activity of at least one hour per day.
  • D Rise sachet (Cholecalciferol 60000 IU) once a week for eight weeks.

Repeat TSH, FT4, anti-TPO, 75 g OGTT (75-g glucose tolerance test), and HbA1c after one month.

Kindly revert with the reports.

Thank you.
