Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I m a 21-year-old final-year medical student. I was a confident, bold, and positive person in my childhood. But now, I lack confidence in all aspects of my life. It has started to affect me to the point where I self-doubt and second-guess myself. It affects me to the point where I have no positive perspective on life and daily activities. I have anxiety attacks frequently. I doubt myself to the point where I feel worthless and stupid. I want to regain my old confidence, boldness, and positivity back. I want to feel calm, like in old times, without self-doubt and anxiety. What should I do to regain my lost confidence?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

You are a medical student, which means you are brilliant at your studies. Keep hope and confidence. I will suggest you do mild exercises and yoga if possible. It will increase positivity in life by releasing endorphins. The symptoms you mentioned suggest mild depression and dysthymia. I will suggest you visit a psychiatrist for counseling. At this stage no need for medications.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
