Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My sister has some peculiar rashes on her skin. The problem started five years ago. But, now it is increasing. We did not understand what is it. I need to upload a picture.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have noted your concern.

I request you to kindly upload a few images of the rashes so that I am able to guide you better. Also, let me know if she has any associated symptoms of itching, burning, or pain and what other sites are affected?

Regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

There is itching. But, no pain. A few photographs have been uploaded.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have seen the photographs (attachment removed to protect patient identity). She has lichen planus. There are violaceous, flat, itchy papules and plaques. I suggest her to use an ultrapotent topical steroid ointment like Halovate S (Halobetasol Topical and Salicylic Acid) ointment twice daily. In addition, I also suggest her to take an oral antihistamine like tablet Teczine (Levocetirizine) 10 mg once daily in the evening. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with him or her and with their consent take the medicines. Does she have the rashes only on the legs? or are they present elsewhere as well?

Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
